Change of tablets: Right am no longer on 150mcg... - Thyroid UK
Change of tablets
That is a rather big change to be made without ANY advice/information. Follow these links:

Liothyronine is the hormone T3 when supplied as a medicine.
As there are currently major supply issues for liothyronine in the UK (pretty much none of the usual product is available), your first challenge will be getting hold of some. There have been many recent posts here about the issues.

The hospital have given me 28 tablets and have said once they run out my GP can prescribe them then. Am just waiting to see my endo and the oncologist after the op now so at the moment I'm completely in the dark
Ah! So you are going to have a thyroidectomy for cancer?
That does make a difference. They use Liothyronine (T3) because they need you to stop taking the hormone near the time for the operation. By using T3 that allows you to have a much shorter period of being low on thyroid hormone.
Please, please, talk to your GP (and pharmacist and endo and oncologist, if needed) as soon as possible to make 100% sure can get the next lot. They might have to turn the world upside down to get some, including getting some imported for you, but with the best will in the world, it might take time. 28 tablets are only going to last about a week at three tablets a day.
Please do this tomorrow morning.
All the best
