Going to buy vitamins today,What would u suggest, especially for tingling x
Right....
the books say..
Vitamin C at least one gram so 1000 fizzy drink ones are good at least one a day..
Selenium ACE from Wassen has Selenium A C and E and is really good to help support your immune system
Vitamin D3 you won't get on the high street you could try the natural products corp on the internt - If you've had your vitamin D tested and it's lower than 80 and you don't have hypercalcaemia then you can take 5000 I.U a day of this (until your next test tells you you're 100 -130) and it's the most likely to help with tingling. If you haven't had a low Vitamin D test then get 1000 I.U and take two a day until you feel better then drop it to one.a day
Magnesium B is also from Wassen and gives you
Magnesium 300 mg 100 350 mg
Vitamin C 30 mg 50 2000 mg
Vitamin B1 (Thiamin) 0.233 mg 16.7 100 mg
Vitamin B2 (Riboflavin) 0.267 mg 16.7 200 mg
Vitamin B3 (Niacin) 3 mg 16.7 150 mg
Vitamin B5 (Pantothenic Acid) 1 mg 16.7 500 mg
Vitamin B6 (Pyridoxine) 10 mg 500 200 mg
Vitamin B12 (Cobalamin) 0.1667 µg 16.7 500 µg
Folic Acid 33.34 µg 16.7 400 µg
Biotin 25 µg 16.7 500 µg
Also provides:
Betaine Hydrochloride 5 mg - -
If they don't have Magnesium B.. DO NOT get magnesium OK.. or if you do, don't take the selenium
Magnesium OK has selenium in it.. and too much selenium can make you feel very strange
Selenium is crucial but needs to be treated with respect.
So.. Haliborange or whatever 1000 vit C
Selenium Ace
Magnesium B
and Vitamin D3
This is the top recommendation I have..
Redditch, are you not in the UK? You have said:
Vitamin D3 you won't get on the high street
Here in the UK vitamin D3 is easily available in high street health shops. (Also easily available online through for example, Amazon.co.uk).
I suggest that anyone wanting to try 'high dose' vitamin C, should start low and build up slowly. Not everyone can tolerate as much as 1.000mg vit C. (I can't!) I also find lower doses taken through the day to be better than one large dose.
A comprehensive reply above. Personally I take Jointace omega 3 (which contains vitamin D), berocca (i know, I know, it has aspartame in, but its easy...), extra magnesium, co Q10, and B12. I'd just like to add that B12 is very important and could be a cause of tingling. Would be good to have a B12 test. I take the Jarrows 1000mcg sublingual tabs (from amazon) - sometimes chew a couple a day, along with the multitude other multivitamins containing B12. You can't overdose on B12, but many of us are highly deficient.
It is better to get a B12 supplement on its own rather than in multi-vits as the dose is low. If you supplement with B12 it has to be methylcobalamin B12.
Magnesium, definitely for that tingley issue, but much of it is not absorbed well and that is why it is used effectively as a laxative. Oxide is rather useless, so find a glycinate or orotate type. Some people use a liquid magnesium chloride. Some of it can be taken internally and I mix it with juice but if you get the kind that is not used internally, you can apply it to the skin directly and will be absorbed and of course, the epsom salt bath.
Omega 3 essential fatty acids can only be found in an oily fish like mackeral and salmon and a few vegetables I thin, so most people are deficient therefore fish oil might be beneficial especially for inflammation. Coconut oil has also been recommended for hypos.
