Why are you particularly asking for Christians what difference does religion have to do with it.
Sadly hypthyroidism affects every creed/nationality/philosophy etc etc etc and we're all in it together!
I was going to ask the same thing I really don't understand the question
Isn't it hard enough!
We are all trying to help each other x
Hi thankfulwanyana, I believe in God, but no longer a conventional christian, im not sure why your question seemed to cause a little bit of offense? But just wanted to say I hope you find someone that you can connect with x
Hello Thankfulwanyana
As you are so poorly it seems like you want to connect with people with thyroid problems who also happen to share your faith. I can see that this may offer extra comfort and hope to you and wish you well.
Best wishes

Since more Americans are practicing Christians what about trying an American thyroid help board? Although not advertised as for Christians I wouldn't be surprised if half of the people on their boards are practicing Christians. I used an American board before this one was created and the people there were friendly and helpful.
Of course it's good to get UK information so you could go to both an American one and come here and ask UK specific questions too?
Good Luck finding what you're looking for,
Totoro x
My best wishes to you as well Thankfulwanyana, i hope you manage to find some one of your own faith to talk too, x x
thank you.
There is a Facebook group.
Louise
thank you, I've tried looking for it but no success so far!
Hi I am a Christian of over 40 years with a thyroid problem for over 35 years. Be glad to offer any help I can. Harper
I know there IS a facebook group but I can't find it.
I understand that you don't want to associate with people who use bad language, etc, but I am a very active and totally dedicated Christian and I have never found any problem with Thyroid UK. Occasionally there might be the odd mention of ideas and treatments which would go against my beliefs but I'm not forced to take any notice!
My everyday life revolves around my Christian dedication and my fre time is spent with others of my faith, but I cannot see why someone would want to alienate others by making them feel that you see them as less desirable. That does not exactly paint a picture of your God as a welcoming and kind God!
There is another point. This forum is not just about what we can get out of it, but how our experiences can help others to feel better about their problems or to find a solution to their treatment issues.
If a Christian is supposed to be loving and giving, where is the giving?
I do so agree, people can be just or more caring with different beliefs and none. My best consultants are, Jewish, Hindu and sikh, I think one is an Islam too. I am Catholic.. I did have a Christian one, he was terrible!!!
Best wishes,
Jackie
ThankfulWanyana, I'm a Christian. God works in mysterious ways. I found out I had sub-clinical thyroiditis when I went to see an eye doctor about my dry eyes. I prayed that God would guide the doctor. The eye doctor ordered the thyroid blood tests Free T3 & Free T4 and TSH. I would never have thought that I had a thyroid problem and would not be investigating how to improve my health. I had a further test and discovered I have Hashimoto's thyroiditis. I gave up work as I felt my health deteriorating and thought I was heading towards some sort of mental breakdown. Luckily with some persuasion my husband agreed to let me leave work. I now have time to go to a Christian Ladies Fellowship meeting once a week and have time to read the Bible every day and read more spiritual books. Also to do more regular exercise. I'm finding that I might be spending too much time reading about my health problems though. I'm not in the UK at the moment as my husband works abroad. I pray that you get the Christian fellowship you need. God Bless xxx

It went!!
thank you to everyone for your reply is, I'm sorry , I cannot answer in detail right now , as I am not well enough to spend much time online, and I need to be well enough to attend my first appointment with endocrinologist on Friday the 24th of May. (it's ironic , I need to be well enough to do the doctor!), also need to prepare for that.
I am so sorry to those I may have offended, I do not want to leave this board. I appreciate all feedback that has been given me and enjoy being able to participate.
I enjoy meeting people from all different backgrounds, I would also appreciate the opportunity to pray with other Christians who are going through similar difficulties, who we can also share scripture together (Bible).
Thank you,
Thankful W

There is an American thyroid site called Real thyroid Help which has a forum.
I am glad you came back and posted. Sorry that you are not feeling so good at the moment but hopefully you will be on the way to good health soon. There is a lot of support and good advice on this site. It has been a lifeline to me.
Wishing you luck for your first Endo appointment.
Best wishes

Hi Wanyana
Hope you managed to get to the Dr and that he was helpful. I am a Christian too. It might be difficult to find a faith based thyroid group. But why not stay with this site there are so many good comments and kind people who will help you. Maybe you could find a separate prayer site to share your spiritual joys and sorrows and to get prayer for your needs and pray for others too. Whatever faith or non we all need to be there for one another. God Bless you in your quest. May his healing love be with you.
Thank you, I'll try that-ifbrain-fog lets me remember!!!
