for me but I am too scared to take it due to reading all side affects, but does anyone know if it will affect my T3 levels as am on liothyronine only?

My GP has prescribed Tegratol
I suppose the important question is why was it prescribed? If it is for epilepsy, you don't really have much choice about it but keep it away from your liothyronine doses.
I no longer take tegretol (it didn't control my epilepsy very well) but I now take sodium valproate. I am just careful to make sure I don't take it within a couple of hours of my NDT.
I don't know how it will affect your personal T3 levels, but I suspect it is an individual thing. It does tend to slightly reduce T3 and T4 levels so a good idea might be to get a blood test a few weeks after starting it and see if there is any change. Also keep an eye on how you feel. You might find you need to change your dose slightly.
Generally it seems to be best to avoid taking medications around the same time as thyroid medication so if this is something you really need to take, just take it at a different time of day and look out for symptom of changes in T3 levels.
