Hi I have had an underactive thyroid for around 5 yrs now & take 100 mg thyroxine each day.
I have been taking my medication every morning but have just been reading the forum which is saying it is better to take your medication at night, just wondered what difference it makes

I used to take 125mg every day until last October then my doctor decided to put me back on 100mg out of the blue, I had a blood test done in January & all came back ok. My periods have started playing up since January firstly going 6 weeks without a period then 17 days & this month I have been on for 4 days off for 1 and I have come back on today (I suppose it could be my age - 47 years) but I have started to feel so tired, I will have to book a docs appointment for next week to get it checked.
Ask for a TSH level result too! I have started taking mine at bedtime as I won't have eaten recently, and it won't be affeceted by the vits i Take at breakfast...don't know if it makes a difference, but the info on here has made me stop chucking all my tablets down me in one go every morning after breakfast!!
I changed mine from morning to evening and I think it is better, especially since I take multivits with iron in the morning and I found from this site not to take levo and iron at the same time.
