Taking 20mgs lio,100 levo,was taking one grain erfa but can't afford to now,anxiety symptoms eg tingling,blur vision,electric feelings,nothing has made a difference x

Have you had a recent blood test which you can post, with the ranges as labs differ. Did you feel better when on 1 grain Erfa?

Hi make sure you have TSH, T4 and Free T3 tests to start with. I need my FT 3 right at the top of the range It may be that the T4 is too high and the FT3 still too low.Also sometimes the thyroid does seem worse before better.Did you try T4 and t3 on a script first? Most Endo `s prefer this. I cannot take T4 ( levo) so I have armour, 2 grains and T3, 20mcg. I have Hashimoto and am very stable normally.

Why can't you take t4 I think Thats my problem

Hi fion.

It is fairly common

so interesting. Basically I have a bad heart and it made it terrible, even on a lower dose. A lot of people manage to take it by starting on a minute amount, and taking weeks to increase to prescribed dose. Actually all my very good consultants say to do that with all drugs, except of course life saving and antibiotic.Trouble is buying armour or Erfa means, unless an outstanding GP, not mine, private script and paying Springfield, cheapest. I certainly would not buy on line etc as personally think it much too dangerous , even with lots of blood tests ( on line too)Funny thing is I can now take T3 which I would not have been able to. Thanks to a good endo, often drugs problems can be due to motility down to pancreas. Simple specific stool test, Faecal Elastase ( I am sure Blue Horizon do it on their main site), under Gastros but low opinion of them all. Any way endo long time ago, said to demand the test. Simple remedy is to take the enzymes, not drugs, called Creon, common. Script after test or worth risking as safe just replacement enzymes form Holland and Barratt, same thing. Takes a few months and permanently stay on them. Must be taken about 20mins before food or useless.
