I think it may be Symprove; if so it is available at some Tesco stores and I have seen it on the internet (Amazon I think).

I indent to give it a go soon, just need to finish the tub of the stuff I am using.

Ive not been able to get it at Tesco. It is on line at Healthspa and others. Its about £20 the smallest bottle so better to buy a big one that will last longer. I think you use 2 small bottles a month , so expensive and not on prescription- but your GP may be different.

A bottle is about £20 and yes it does take about 3 months to truly see the effect on your system. Unfortunately, the only people who can get it on prescription are those that were on the trial but it can be purchased online from Symprove.com. The amount you buy depends on your weight as you take a 1ml=1kg dose so a heavier person may need more bottles.

I was on the trial for it at King's College Hospital and it works for 2 out of 3 people. The way the change in symptoms was described to me (because I was on the product not the placebo and unfortunately it didn't work at all for me) was that you scaled your symptoms on a scale of 1 to 10, 1 being none and 10 being awful. Your pain could be classed by yourself as 7/10 on the scale and then after three months on Symprove your symptoms could be at 4/10. The actual results showed that 1 in 5 people dropped from 8/10 to 3/10 in pain and stool symptoms.

I would recommend anyone dubious about it to try it out for the three months and see how it goes!! It didn't work for me but it could work for you! Good luck whatever you do x

I am on my 5th bottle of Symprove and hesitate to say that it has definitely improved my condition!! I have IBS-D and have just come back from a week in Spain where I did not experience any problems!!! You can buy this from Tesco Nutricentres which you will find on the web. Not every Tesco has one!! Or you can buy this online. Just Google Symprove. Amazon do it too!!!
