Hi,

I have colitis and IBS. Does anyone use an injection called Adalimumab? A friend recently told me she uses it to manage colitis.

I think it’s very expensive which is why it’s given as a last resort.

Adalimumab can be given if necessary to treat ulcerative colitis. If you have colitis it just means inflammation of the bowel which can be a number of things causing it not necessarily an IBD. If a recent diagnosis you may be best speaking to your gastro doctor for the next steps in your treatment or if your symptoms aren't being controlled with the medication you're on now

Thank you. Yes I think I’ll need to speak to them. The IBD team just say it’s my IBS.
