Hello I was wondering if anybody here could just give me some insight

I have systemic lupus and secondary sjorgrens with hypermobility syndrome

I had a barium swallow five years ago and the barium took four hours to go through which showed slow transit sclerodoma dysmotality and pseudo succulation. I have also had previous abdominal surgery and have got adhesions

My gastroenterologist prescribed me co-amaxi clav for sibo which I have had a few times but which seems to recur

ATM

I get distention bloating belching and pain after meals and wind it seems to flare goes quiet for a few days and then comes back again

I am wondering whether to ask for a referral back to gastroenterologist for refaximin has anybody else tried it? And did you get good results

I am no longer under a gastroenterologist as he left my trust he was called Dr Adam farmer he was incredible he did say to me it would probably be very hard to treat and I had to just learn to manage the condition .

I am on one milligram of resolor a day

Sorry for the long winded post just wondering if anybody had tried anything that worked for the symptoms or any suggestions to help

many thanks 🙏

I did try Rifaxamin. It did nothing for me, but that was because I didn't have SIBO.

Probably best to get re-referred back to a gastroenterlogist to help you manage things.
