Hi everyone, I’m just curious to know if any of you take cod liver oil and if so has it affected your gut/ibs in any way. I have just decided to try them because of my age (the menopause is causing me joint pain) but I’m always cautious with everything I take incase of a stomach upset.Thank you 😊

I've always been wary of cod liver oil due to it high Vitamin A content, which can be overdosed since it is stored in the body. Rather than supplements I eat oily fish such as mackerel and salmon. Your body is used to how to break down foods and food is the most natural way to get nutrients rather than supplements, though in some cases they may be needed (e.g. calcium if intolerant to dairy).
