Hi everyone, just wondering if anyone has tried the Nerva app. I was thinking of maybe giving this a try.I did try some cd hypnotherapy some 15yrs ago, but I know things have moved on since then.
Was wondering how people found this app, and also was it expensive?
Thank you

I started to use it but realised I'd been stung for a higher subscription than I thought I was paying so I cancelled. If you have a kind of steady level of IBS rather than big swings in symptoms it would work.
Thank you for thar information, it confirms what I have read in some of the reviews this afternoon.Unfortunately we all clutch at straws quite a lot and seem to waste so much money.
I probably would have given it a try by now, as I have heard it can really help some people. But my phone won't take "apps" and I can't download many of them on my laptop either. I have no idea if it would work for me as sometimes I am almost completely "normal"! I can go for weeks being normal, until I get a flare up (caused by what, I can never work out.)
I have been trying the Nerva app. It is hard to tell as IBS is so variable but it seems to be working. I do feel in better control. Worth a try don't give up on it I have found that only now after about 3 weeks is it having a positive effect.
The first week is a free trial it then costs £99 for a year. Definitely worth a try. My IBS is definetly triggered by stress which is why I found this Nerva app so useful. Along with increasing roughage via traditional muesli more fruit fresh and dried plus Kefir for breakfast. The app definetly relaxes me and I do feel I am slowly getting more control. I have had IBS on and off for 30 years. Mostly under control but COVID has I am sure triggered my most recent bout which has Benn going on for about 3 years. I do now feel the end is in sight again. Good luck worth a try.
I found it got me into a relaxed state, which is always going to be helpful for IBS. I haven't used it lately, but if it's expensive, you could look for free guided meditations online.
Hi there, I tried the full programme about a year ago as have had great results with hypnotherapy in other areas of life. I was desperate for it to help as my IBS is severe and was encouraged by lots of reviews saying how it changed peoples lives etc. Unfortunately didn't do anything for me so wish I hadn't spent the money. However appreciate everyone is different. Sorry to not have more of a success story to share - understand how important positivity and hope of improvement is for all of us here! x
I’ve tried it & it did help with relaxation, which is always a bonus , give it a try , I then went on to have the gut focused hypnotherapy from Professor Whorwell’s IBS clinic , which was & still is a huge help , expensive but worth it
I have tried the Nerva app on and off for the past 2 years. At first it helped a bit, then not so much. I think I have to use it consistently. I cancelled my subscription after a year and then they offered me a reduced rate so I have the app again. Will try to use it consistently and see if it reduces flare ups. It’s probably worth a try for you.
Only app i would recommend is a web app called zymptom.ai - finds hidden patterns in your diet which cause flare ups - working so well for me right now
