Bedranol

I have been prescribed Bedranol ( propranolol hydrochloride) for my anxiety. Just to use as and when I feel anxious . Has anyone else used this beta blocker ? I suffer from IBS - D and I’m worried it might cause diarrhoea. This would defeat the object of taking it completely!

I have had propranolol it definitely didn't cause diarrhea with me. So give them ago .

I'm on stronger anxiety medication now.

Hi there, I've just started this now as well! I was worried about this too especially as I'm having to take antibiotics this week. I also take amitriptyline and probiotics for my IBS and have found luckily I've been okay so far. Best of luck - hope they work okay for you 😊

I take propranolol but for migraine although I do have both IBS and IBD. I have not found that it causes D issues so I would think you will be fine taking them.

I asked my GP for Propranolol as my fecal accidents was causing me great anxiety. I use it as and when and I can honestly say it hasn't caused diarrhea for me. I have had no side effects at all give it a try. Wishing you well. X
