Enterosgel

Hi

I’ve been suffering from haemorrhoids for a few months. It’s been getting better very gradually by eating a very high fibre diet to keep my stool very soft. But this has had the side effect of causing urgency several times a day. It’s making it very difficult to leave the house.

I’ve had ibs for years but mostly had it mostly under control but it’s taking over my life right now.

I’m doing the Nerva app and am on week 2.

I’ve looked at Enterosgel for those days when I need to get out but am worried about it causing any constipation issues that will cause the piles to flare up again.

Does anyone have any experience they can share?

Thanks in advance

I find Flaxseed and Physilium Husk very good for keeping regularity. I've had IBS for 16 years and it's only the last couple of months that there's been any kind of normality to my BMs and I think it's down to the above. I've not been having the same urgency as I was and consistency is much better. Also drinking plenty of plain water helps keep stools softer and it's good for you. Fibre is very important but don't over do it. Half ripened pears are good, and other fresh fruit if you can eat it. Dried prunes, Cranberries, Seeds on Porridge.

Thank you for your reply! I’m a big water drinker and tracking on an app I get over 2L a day. I also take prunes daily. I switch between chia and flaxseed. I was taking psyllium husk but thought it was making things worse. I’ve just recently decided to give it another go.

I think I’ve been trying everything at the same time so difficult to know what’s helping and what’s making it worse to be honest.

I put the Phsylium Husk in my bread when I make it in the bread machine, just a teaspoon seems to be enough along with a teaspoon of Flaxseed. It's made a hell of a difference to me, I won't speak too soon though 😊 you don't need much of these two things.Someone said that Kiwi Fruit are good and I agree. But I couldn't eat two of them, I just eat half a one as eating one made my stools too loose. I put Chia, sunflower seeds, pumpkin seeds and sesame seeds on my porridge every morning. Again, not too much of anything, I swear by it. I always have a glass of water soon after though and like you, I drink constantly throughout the day, water that is 😁Your right about trying too many things at once, you can't keep track and you won't know what's good and what's not good. Take Care

I find 2 kiwi fruits a day plus about 7 prunes and an Alflorex tablet from Precision Biotics has helped a lot with my decades long constipation. I get the chewable banana and strawberry Alflorex. You don't have to take them on an empty stomach, nor keep them in the fridge.

These are the only things that have worked for me and I tried all the other usually recommended remedies which other people have said worked for them.. We're all different but kiwi and Alflorex might be worth a go?

Also, lots of water, but that goes without saying.
