Hi, my FAcebook feed has adverts for a product called Enterosgel & although I've been a diagnosed ibs-d sufferer since my teens & I work within the health industry, I have never heard of this! Has anybody tried it, got any views to share? Thanks in advance, Ax

Hi yes I have tried Enterosgel. I have bought it a few times. It is excellent for settling tummys and as it states binds any nastys together and rids them out of your system.Quite a few people I know take this and swear by it.Also a few have even stopped their own medication and told their doctor that they get better results with this.It tastes of nothing, but read up on it cause it can bung you up if you take it a lot.If I'm feeling a bit off then I take it for about 3 to 4 days just twice a day.I only take it when I'm suffering!! It is very expensive, but more economical to buy the big tube,I use the gel by the way.Hope that helps

Thank you so much, I'll give it a try & quite frankly being a bit bunged up would be a blessing! It would also be nice not to have to rely on loperamide daily, just to have an alternative would give a little peace of mind. Ax

Enterosgel works for me. It soothes the stomach pain and is useful during an IBS flair up. I take the maximum dose when that happens and reduce it gradually as things calm down. It is not an instant cure but it works and no side effects. I find the sachets easiest as they have a longer shelf life. Cheapest on Ebay as long as you make sure you have the genuine product.

I have been trying it for just over a week and it has eased my diorhea, but not made any difference to my pain or bloating, so far. It is very expensive and think Holland & Barret have it on offer at the moment (if you're in the U.K.)

Thanks, I am in the UK & will give it a try. I agree it's pretty expensive and would have to work better than my buscopan/loperamide regime to be worth it, but as I'm sure you agree desperate times call for desperate measures! Thanks so much for your reply and fingers crossed it makes a difference. A

I agree, I will try anything to ease my symptoms (I would even have a leg chopped off if it cured my IBS 😬) Hope it helps you, good luck.
