Swelling on left side of abdomen on base of rib

Hi I have had IBSD for over 40 years , with intermittent flares some of which have been horrific !

I have now discovered a swelling on the left side of my abdomen at the base of my ribs ,it is slightly sore to the touch ,but not painful ! Just wondering has any had anything like this ? Would appreciate any replies thanks

It doesn't sound like something that would be related to IBS, it might make sense to have a check up with a doctor. Let us know how you get on

I have it in the middle of my stomach. I had ultrasound yesterday and it showed nothing????

thanks for your reply , have been told over the years nothing wrong after having numerous scans , colonoscopy , gastroscopy ,blood tests etc , you would feel like a hypochondriac, except that these symptoms are real for the majority of us ! God I hate this IBS !
