FIT Test

Hi, further to my last post my GP did a check and she said externally everything seems fine. But she said a previous FIT test I had done came back positive. This was back in April and the GP was unable to contact me as I was away. Now I am extremely concerned as the result was 70.2 and the normal range for FIT is 10. Has anyone had this before

Over the last 2/3 years I had 2 of them done they both came back clear of Cancer as I have had history of it ( Breast Cancer ) I suppose that's all they tested for!!! but early 2021 had 2 colonoscopies polyps removed both times rang Hospital for results OK just had another FIT test arrive this week so I will send that off one day this week & try 2 get it over and done with before Xmas as earlier this year had another colon scan as well as a scan as if I was having a baby ( fat chance not at 62 years old) and I am fed up with being poked and prodded about in my bum now but may have to I suppose it depends on the results!!! I hope not what ever happens I suppose I will have to but the prep stuff is is disgusting well you take care and look after yourself please x

Hi there,

My FIT test was over 100 and have had 2 colonoscopies and both were clear. I know it’s a super nerve wracking time for you, but in a lot of cases it can be caused by medication, haemorrhoids etc. try as hard as you can not to stress and get a colonoscopy just to be extra sure. Sending love x

yes my test came bk pos l had a ct colonoscopy as had normal colonoscopy in the previous couple years! All came bk clear

My FIT Test has come back normal thank goodness. Just rang the GP.

Hello to you

I have just posted another FIT test of in the post today 06/11/23

So I won't know the results for the next couple of weeks depends on Royal Mail as they come to empty the post boxes and my door when they like they have been like that well before the pandemic ETC so I will try to put it to the back of my mind

I hope all is OK with you and your problems? I am still having IBS/Diverticular Disease the stuff never goes away as you well know Oh I just wish these Medical Boffins could come up with a cure for then we could all get better as it appears that our problems are all at the bottom of the pile unlike other Diseases that take priority as on the TV you never see an advert about IBS the nearest we get is about piles and cream to apply for them

Well that's enough of me and my rants for today So take care and look after yourself please

I had results back from my FIT test today all OK thanks but no results on anything else but I suppose they were only looking for Cancer???

I had the results back from my FIT test Friday last week all clear on Cancer but that is all that they would test for nothing else and I wish you well and take care x
