Hi there so after suffering from IBS/D for nearly 4 years over the last couple of weeks my symptoms have been improving. However since I’m not getting chronic diarrhoea I’ve found that I’m urinating a lot more frequently and it is quite a bit volume wise as well. Could these two things be related. Has anyone else experienced this to be the case. Thanks ☺️ 🙏🤗

IBS/D improved symptoms
If you are drinking the same amount of fluids, and your D has eased, it makes sense for any surplus fluids to go through your kidneys.
Not something I've experienced but it makes sense that it could happen, if you're drinking the same amount out of habit. I've read that most of us don't drink as much as we should anyhow, and I imagine your body and habits would naturally adjust over time, but if frequent urination is an issue for you, a relative of mine was once advised to drink larger amounts at once than they'd been doing, in order to stretch their bladder in order to reduce their urination frequency, so that could be something to look into.
I have been weeing a lot also and that down 2 the fact that I get diahorea and costipation and when straining 2 go hasn't helped me not a bit I was putting that down 2 the 6/7 cups a tea ( lactofree milk that I drink and the amount of times that I am on&off the toilet and csared of messing myself with every twinge or growl that I get even scared 2 fart ETC as 4 wiping myself with loo paper ( soft stuff ) feels like being cut with a razor at times as it leaves me tender & raw so I apply vaseline after putting a warm flannel as that helps me 2 stay moisturised down there as I've been wearing paper pants ( tena ) every day 4 the last 3/4 years since having this IBS/Divert Disease as I never know when, what will come out of me as it can happen 2 me at any given time and all ways worried scared of messing myself all the time I hope that helps even a tiny bit well take care and hope that has put your mind at ease!!!
