Gut microbiome ruined.

Does anyone have any advice please.I recently had to have a week's course of Amoxicillin for a UTI.

It's completely trashed my microbiome. I have been living on white toast with a scraping of yeast extract for the last fortnight and taking probiotic supplements. Even chicken with white rice has me dashing to the loo afterwards.

I have to fly to Corfu in 6 days time, followed by an hour transfer in a minibus. Frankly, the thought of being caught in a queue for the loo on the plane terrifies me.

I think my only option is to get some Immodium. What do other members think/advise? Any ideas how to reset my microbiome?

Any suggestions gratefully received.

Thankyou.

I would use kefir and double whatever pro biotic you were using.

There is also S.Boulardi which will slow you down. I hope that helps.

That's great, thankyou. I actually have some saccharides boulardi so I can start straightaway.
