Does anyone feel the urge/pulse when you have to "go" poop is not as strong?
Is that stress changing the sensation or IBS?

I understand with long term laxative use this can be the situation. Having said that I have been on laxatives for over ten years and don't find that to be a continuing problem. I went through a period when I lost the urge to go but that was a short term problem that sorted itself, thankfully.
I definitely get that, randomly from time to time. I have discovered that when I end up passing a very soft or too loose bowel movement (though not diarrhea) that is more likely to happen. Just no urge in the morning, out of the blue. I am baffled to know why it does that to me, But it's just one of those things with me and comes and goes. I sit on the toilet anyway, take a newspaper to read all the gossip, and persevere, and all ends up okay really.
I find a coffee (just black as I don't take it with milk) can sometimes restore the urge, and if that doesn't work I have a second one, plus a little walk in the field or the orchard for 10 minutes if the weather isn't too nasty, and failing that, I will eat some toast. as well. Usually all that stuff will trigger off some peristalsis. Though sometimes it's not normal at all.
