Hi a finally got My ct scan today so awaiting for my results scared and worried I also had a reaction to the dye so unfortunately I can't have the die again

It's natural to be worried, I was terrified after I had my 2 CT scans but at the end of the day if it gets to the root of your problem at least you'll be able to get the treatments you need and be on the road to recovery. The contrast dye is horrible, it's an awful feeling which I was dreading more than anything after my first one and after the second dont think I'd ever want it again.

I hope all is well with your scan and they find something that's easily treated,

I can't have it again I've had reaction to it my throat was closing up ect so the woman said if I ever have nother it won't be clear because I can't have the dye

Oh that's not good 😮hopefully you won't need another after having your first and but if you do request an MRI instead given your reaction to the dye which is far more detailed than a CT scan anyway

I'm feeling so poorly since that dye even few hours I'm feeling nausea now headache

Update I'm still not feeling 100% after that dye it's nocked me for 6 :/

Ella, it's just my personal opinion, but I don't think they should have left you like that. But I suppose to be fair, the effects might have passed off. Yours obviously haven't.

Can you maybe call either your own doctor's clinic or 111 for some advice? I don't know what might help, but maybe they can recommend something ?
