Hi folks, new here. Suffer from IBS fir around eleven years and only just getting some help from GP (been referred to dietician and mental health care nurse) but in the meantime I am getting married in a few days time! Thought I would take some Kalms but just read a side effect is D., so last thing I need! Anyone any other suggestions to calm nerves on the day? I will be taking immodium as this usually works. Hence ceremony not until 4pm.

I'm most effected in the mornings .

Any suggestions much appreciated.

congratulations on your forthcoming Wedding! 😊

Take the Imodium as you say to give you peace of mind and believe in the tablets as you know they’ve worked before. Try some deep belly breathing/yoga/meditation to keep you calm. I also find relaxation hypnotherapy on YouTube quite good too. Good luck x

Thanks Yoga82. Great ideas. Will look at you tube hypnotherapy. Just start doing a bit of Thai chi on you tube. Thank you for your advice and time. X

Hi,

There is a Swiss product called Rescue which comes as a fluid to be dropped onto the tongue or pastilles. I use both but find the pastilles give a better result. For the moment the drops effect my stomach but usually they are not a problem when I'm not enjoying a severe flare up.
