I’ve been on here for a few months now as I’ve been suffering from “feeling full” tight band sensation across my stomach pretty much every day. This happened literally the day after giving birth and I am now 1 year PP
I have had bloods/endoscopy and ultrasound and internal - ALL CLEAR which is amazing but no closer to answers
i have been prescribed landoprazole and famotadine which takes the edge off but I still feel the same. Some days are better than others
any ideas as to what to request from my doctor? I think she may diagnose IBS but I’m so tired of feeling like this
Thankyou

Hi, I would think that you could ask to be referred to a gastroenterologist (again?) for a more thorough examination of your symptoms if you still suffer on a daily basis. By the way, do you really mean deflated or is it inflated/bloating?
Hello Flowers12. Have you ever been diagnosed with gastrointestinal issues before having a baby? The thing is that having a baby totally changes your body, not just in appearance but how it functions as well. Your hormones won't go back to where they were. If your tummy and stomach are quite sensitive already, pregnancy won't help. It took me years to get used to my body again and I've had a constant stomach pain since giving birth. Be careful to doctors recommendations. I've got IBS-C and my constipation went mad after giving birth. 9 months later, still constipated like mad I saw a gastroenterologist and fair enough: oh, you need a colonoscopy I think it could be cancer! Yeah right! Back then (25 years ago), there was no such thing as IBS. Never had the colonoscopy by the way. And yes, they LOVE their anti-acid medic. You've got a young child, make sure you get as much rest as you can. Things will fall into place. All the best!
thank you so much for this. I really needed to see this today. I’ve never had any issues before having a baby and this has all started after the birth of my second child. I’m trying to take it easy as I’ve had all the tests and they are all coming back normal. It’s hard to get on with life when everyone is telling you are fine but you still don’t feel normal. As mentioned I’m one year PP and still breastfeeding so maybe my hormones are having a lot to do with it all too. I may ask to be referred to the gastro for further investigation but for now I’m just trying to relax and tell myself everything is okay. Again thank you for your reply it really means alot x
