I can only have a bowel movement by inserting two Dulcolax suppositories rectally. This condition is killing me mentally and physically. Any help!

My natural bowel movements have completely stopped
I am having the same issues. See my post of a week or so ago entitled chronic constipation. Since posting I have spoken with a colorectal nurse specialist she has recommended I ask for a referral to pelvic clinic run by two colorectal surgeons at my local teaching hospital. I am calling my GP on Monday to ask for a referral.
I assume you have had a colonoscopy if not perhaps its time to see your GP. Brst wishes.
Not sure what contact you have with your GP, but it sounds like you need to be under their guidance until the situation is more liveable with. What is your fibre intake like? I have a long loopy colon which causes me IBS-C and I need to consume much more fibre than the average person to have BMs.
I take movicol as it’s vey gentle and doesn’t cause cramps.. intake it every few days
How many pints of water (either on its own or in tea or coffee) do you drink per day?
I have to use Linzess, up to ten 25mg senna, Miralax, metamucil, (sometimes added VitC powder, and colace) nightly. It took me years to find that combination - I was forced to go to any length because I would have have up to 16 days of (total) constipation.I am on FODMAP Diet and use Fodzyme (FODMAP approved) enzymes and can sometimes get 5 or 6 days (in a row) pain free and occasionally a few days of normal bm’s,. Overall this regimen has vastly improved my functioning tho’ it is still quite challenging to manage life around this illness. (see You Tube for Monash University FODMAP diet= there are many , many support programs for the FODMAP program, including Facebook, etc. Lots of Pub Med scholarly article support from your search engine as well) . Good Luck! Beh
