Exercise and healthy gut flora

That makes sense, winfong. There are some times when I have to exercise very gently indeed (during bad flares) but I always feel much better to be able to continue with my active lifestyle as much as possible. I love the outdoors, and get out into it every day, more or less acting like a 10 year old, climbing about, gathering winter wood, walking..... I am lucky where I live. And where I live....if something were to go drastically wrong, there is always a field to poop in! haha! Fortunately I haven't had to use that option yet. Watch this space
I've been repeating this forever, but seem to get dismissed here: exercise, particularly strength training, is a game changer. I've found that my appetite has increased (was previous suffering from IBS induced weight loss) and I can tolerate many more foods than before. People ignore the easy solutions when it requires more personal effort.
There's no quick fixes with IBS. More meds and doctor visits aren't the way, if you've established there's nothing serious going on.
Thanks for signposting this excellent article, neatly summarises the exciting developments in this area. Backed by credible scientific studies a rarity it seems with so much lazy tabloid junk journalism out there. I’ve managed to slowly improve my IBS with a whole food, no meat / dairy diet & tons of exercise. A game changer indeed corpgov10. Putting on trainers…. 😀
