Worried about goingout

I had a colonscopy and gastroenterology last week The gastroenterology was very painful as I have scar tissue.Have to h⁰ have anotheone in years time which I am worrying about even now.It shows I have gastris piles and hiatus hernia. I am always worried about getting diahorrea when I go out and using public toilets or visiting friends.Use to take loperamide just in case but realise it may have caused the piles. This is really getting me down.

Take an emergency kit with you when you are out it does give you some peace of mind. The IBS network have handy items in their shop ie, paper disposable toilet seats covers, Radar key. All can fit in a makeup bag.

A circle of friends who know about your issues, that are kind and have empathy would be really useful. A friend of mine had IBS, everyone in our wild swimming group was so kind and supportive to her. Observing this allowed me not to hide mine from the people that were understanding to her.

Try and fill your life with non judgemental people.

judgemental people are not nice people, do such people deserve your friendship.

Thank you for your helpful reply. I am lucky that I do have friends who know about my issues but I still get stressed about it. I have now been put on Ferrous sulfate which I hope does not make make my symptoms worse.
