Someone please help,I'm atbthe end my tether...today I've been given Mebeverine for my IBS like symptoms I (have not been diagnosed with this yet) I'm hoping its going to help with my stomach cramps. I also have an internal and external hemmoroid issue,I cant stop going to the loo which then doesn't help the hemmoroids and brings on the cramps ,my stomach is like a balloon and most my days off are spent laying on the sofa or going back to bed its a vicious circle, I'm lliterally Wasting my life away.

Please help with some tips

OK so I think you are in panic mode as you have not been given satisfactory diagnosis . Presume your GP gave you the Mebeverine? If he/she hasn't done exclusion tests then you don't know whether it is IBS? Having piles is very very painful, did your GP give you any thing to calm/shrink them or refer you to a specialist to get checked out? Mebeverine should help with cramping but you still need a proper diagnosis. Know how you are suffering and understand your feelings. Wish you well🍀

My symptoms are the same as yours and they said mine will be IBS it is when they can’t find anything wrong I think they use this word to much, I know that you are suffering an awful lot but you really must get an answer from them, then you will know what treatment you need, there is some relieve for piles and fissures which is unbelievable painfull and can last a while, Mebeverine does help to take the edge off you will need to be on it for a while before it kicks in. Let me know how you get on don’t suffer alone, it really is good to talk to other people who are going through the same thing, and you do get some good advice. Good luck.

It gets worse..ive had a few accidents and not made it to the loo in time..this evening was the worst...thank god I was home and home alone..so embarrassing...I'm starting to think something is seriously wrong.. ive had a few comments of serious bloat to my stomach this week...this is not good and bleeding from my back passage as its a vicious circle😪

Oh you poor thing, It happened to me once and I wept all the way home, you always think the worst but really I BS symptoms can really be that bad, get the bleeding from your back passage checked out with your doctor, but it can be Hemmoroids, I myself suffer from bleeding from my rectrum and that’s what mine is and you get horrendous stomach ache from it, I have decided I am paying private to get mine sorted out as I cannot bear to suffer any longer, i begrudge having to use what bit of money I have saved but I have had enough, I don’t seem to be given any help from any wear else good luck, try not to despair.

Ive got an appointment soon so sort my external hemmoroids out, hopefully this will help ease things up,yes it's ridiculous that we even have to go down the private route.. so have you got hemmoroids as you are bleeding? I'm hoping this is the issue for the stomach ache as my friend lives with IBS and I can see how much it affects her work life and personal life😪

I can’t be sure it sounds and feels like hemoroids, I do have spots of red blood when I have passed a stool and the pain burns terrible, I am teliphone my doctors this morning to refer me so that I can see a colon surgeon, don’t take the Amitryptiline they are addictive and horrendous to come off.

I have similar problems to you and have bad flare ups. I take Silicolgel which you can get at Boots or online and for piles I have found that Bene Pura Yarrow Ointment that you can get from Amazon is the best, very soothing and no harmful irritants like some of the other brands.Good luck.

Thanks for this... Ive just ordered silicolgel, just read the reviews and im impressed...anything is worth a go.. unfortunately I've tried the strongest stuff out there for Hemmoroids the only way they are going to go now is having them removed which I'm hoping won't be much longer 😕

Glad you've got the Silicolgel on order, I find it very helpful. The Yarrow Ointment I use every day after a b m and it means I don't have any pain, soreness or bleeding now. It's pricey but lasts well. Hope you feel an improvement soon.

Hello Welsh81 was this on prescription or just imodium? Did they recommend a dosage at all? Wishing you the best

Prescription... I think its stronger than imodium, don't quote me on it,you take 2 straight away then one after every movement... I could feel it working within a few hours x
