Any particular kind of pain? It's a popular topic.

Also, just try searching on "pain" for some ideas and good, former discussions.

That does sound terrible. Where in the abdomen? That kind have a lot to do with a good diagnosis.

Also, it sounds like you've certainly had the medicos check it out, with all those prescriptions. What did they say?

For me it kinda depends on the circumstances. If it's trapped wind or cramping following a meal then I take mebeverine, gavascon and paracetamol and a hot water bottle if I'm able (can't do that at work or in a public place). If it's cramping with nausea and the runs then I use cocodamol instead of paracetamol and miss out the gavascon. But I can only take cocodamol if I'm able to lay down as it knocks me out.

My consultant gave me a prescription medication called Lyrica ( pregabalin ) , you’ll have to Google what it does and as yet I haven’t had to use it 🤞

I am on pregablin highest dose as it really helps. I take 3 tablets during the day and one at night, I was originally prescribed it for my mental health

It must be awful being in such a lot of pain , it’s a completely debilitating condition isn’t it , I don’t wonder you’re having mental health issues , I do too , very unpleasant bouts of anxiety mainly in the morning , but you feel helpless with it don’t you , The thing that has helped me the most , apart from diet is hypnosis, I have the gut related hypnotherapy, the lady’s from Professor Whorwell’s IBS clinic .

Have you ever tried it ?

How do you find the Pregablin for anxiety, is it better than antidepressants ?as I don’t seem to get on. those

Hi there,I also have a horrible stabbing pain which is just above bellybutton. I am

Also taking tramadol, pregabalin and cocodemol. I tend to get the worse pain after going to the loo but pain just seems to be getting worse.

Is this what you are experiencing as well?

For a week I took Buscopan, which I found didn't especially help me, but others recommend them. I am currently using a course of Live Friendly Bacteria from Holland and Barratt. I find these help (but apparently you should only take them for a short time, until your gut is repopulated.) Now, I am re-ordering my diet using Low Fodmap foods. This, for me, is the best remedy.

I have gas pains with bloat. I use Meclizine 25 mg. to relax intestines and release the bloat.
