For people with IBS C, does drinking coffee or warm lemon water help more with symptoms?

I can't imagine coffee would be any good for C, seeing as it can help with D (or just keeping normal folks regular).

Yes, coffee can have a laxative effect. I usually have coffee before going to the loo for Number Twos. But it has to be hot coffee, not the cold coffee you can get these days. I would generally have two mugs before going to the loo, especially if I have been holding it for a while (I tend to be more D than C!)
