Hi I was wondering if people with IBS C find that dates (and date bars) are a good laxative? I know it’s a 50/50 laxative for quite a lot of people.

No..not really. I have tried everything. Prunes (maybe about two) worked but gave me horrible cramps. The only thing that works for me is a stimulant laxative Senna. I have been in it for 15 years and it still works great. I take the uncoated ones. With the Senna I drink string black brewed coffee with Stevia Sugar packets and Apple juice. This is the only thing that works for me as I have a very weak pelvic floor and slow transit..I am usually done going in about two hours. I do this every Sunday (taking the Senna the Saturday night before)..
No I find they just make me get terrible wind. I have lactulose in the cupboard but usually take a dulcolax or senna depending on how bad I feel and the main think I have to do is exercise alot aka jumping workouts
