I’m so tired of this illness constant pain and constipation and piles . I do eventually pass some weird bm. Either hard or mushy . . But can’t sit for hours and have to walk round the house like a caged animal . So tired of it all .that way you just say out loud that you’ve had enough . Been asked to be referred and was sent of stool sample .doctor told me that it was clear so my referral won’t come any time soon as no blood in it so not a emergency . Just tired of it all and that way where I’ve had enough .can’t keep moaning to my family and my husband works away as well so hate to moan to him as he worries so much . Just feel enough is enough . Rant over for another day .🥲

Sorry you are going through a rough time. I’ve been to the doctors for many time to get checked out for abdominal pain and all labs come back negative. Pain just keeps on, there are days its just horrible. I know what you mean this is very tiring. I just hope we get to better and brighter days.

It’s hard as it’s just so painful I walk about with a hot water bottle and. Use a tense machine it helps a little . And when it’s nice I go for walks . But just wish I could wake up and go to the toilet like a use to . I hope they do find something that helps 😉

I can’t imagine how much pain you are in. There are days that I feel that my days are counted because of the pain. Digestive issues are really bad. Is there a reason why these symptoms started?

Sorry you're hurting. You could try soaking in Epsom salts for piles. It'll take a couple days, but it should help.

I do think Epsom’s salts help as it eases my pain a bit .

Make it really concentrated and soak every night for a week. I hope you're feeling better soon!

I’ve always been busy . I worked as a dinner lady for 13 years then a support worker for people with learning disabilities in Glasgow up and down flats with no lifts . Then looked after my mum and father in law so always on the go . Then I retired and parents passed away. . So not as active and then at start of lockdown I had some sort of blockage in my bowel . So to be honest was told loopy bowel and Diverticular plus scar tissue attached to my bowel . So laxatives and pain killers . But only been 2years but sometimes I just get exhausted with it all .

I could have written this. I also have constant pain and have been told I have loopy bowel and diverticular disease. I have to make sure I eat plenty of fibre and avoid foods that can constipate, it still doesn't help with pain but I can go the loo most days. Not today though I have been eating ice cream in the last few days and it's made me constipated so I'll probably have to take a laxative. What is the worst for me is that it keeps me awake every nigh, I get very little sleep and have had to resort to sleeping pills which don't work any more.Painkillers don't do anything for the pain. I just wish I could sleep, then i could bare the pain. what painkillers do you take?

I was told I had a long loopy bowel wonder if that adds to our IBS probs 🤔

I think it does, it takes longer for waste to move through the colon so more fluid is absorbed making hard stools.

Me too, hard to sleep with uncomfortable bowel. I have to resort to pain killers normally, the anti-spasmodics dont shift it

What painkillers work for you? Nothing works for me

Just panadol or sometimes aspirin, just dulls it but not completely gets rid of it

Milk of Magnesia works for me better than Laxido which gives me cramps.Sorry your Dr is so unsympathetic maybe you should swap to somewhere else ?

I had my piles injected to shrink them. I suggest you ask to get referred for this. I didn't find it painful, just uncomfortable. Well worth it. I went privately and got it done after 2 weeks. I eat ground linseeds and a small amount of whole seeds every morning with wholewheat cereal which works well. You must drink plenty of liquids though.

I will ask about that . I take linseed with my yougurt and cereal . I do drink plenty of water as well but last year ended up in hospital with low blood salts they put it downto drinking to much fluids . So I can’t win

Cannae win. Thought it might give you a giggle

Readmeastory add some baking soda with the Epsom salt as a buffer to prevent the itching. Search on "IBS thiamine" for possibly more relief.
