Although the doctor said my gut problem was IBS because no 'red flags' could be found for anything else clinically wrong in tests, I think it might be connected to migraine with me. I was diagnosed with migraine a few years ago.

But mine is more of an abdominal kind of migraine -hence the IBS symptoms. I do get headaches but they are so slight and mild and just kind of 'on the inside' behind my eyebrow. But I know if I get that my gut will be upset.

I've also had some dizziness in the past and a feeling like my head is in a box, my voice sounds weird in my head etc. All those things can come with the on-off IBS symptoms.

I’m glad someone else thinks ibs and migraine are linked. I’ve had migraine for all my life, and ibs off and on for the same amount of time. For me the migraine is the main chronic issue and the ibs comes and goes. However I’m very careful what I eat during migraine episodes, not attacks as I don’t eat anything then, but during the time around attacks. I usually have carbohydrates, as in spelt bread, and my own oatcakes. I avoid gluten. This seems to help me a lot. It’s difficult to describe as it’s such a balancing act, but I don’t pretend that I’m ok, if you can see what I mean.

All the time along with nausea, now off work really ill for 3 weeks over Christmas and again for last 2 weeks, doctors put it down firstly to prostate problems and then back muscle strain, both times I was convinced it was blocked up bowel, and guess what both times it has sorted itself out, doctors haven't got a clue, now on propranolol for panic attacks. Also now suffering with Depression.

Yes I do, have suffered with migraines for years, I wonder if they are linked.
