Not too bad. Was important to have a good day for family morale and could medicate a good night's sleep and cope with discomfort due to food. So a win.

Similar here. What do you take for sleep?

Pretty crap, had my COVID booster Christmas Eve which, I think, didn't help. Just hoping I feel well enough tomorrow as my son is supposed to be coming with his fiancee, as long as I feel up to it! Hope things were not too bad for you!!

Hi again Maureen, sorry to hear that, hope you feel up to seeing your son. I'm same, don't really want to see anyone, just my husband

Hi edwangy, got to see my son and his fiancee yesterday. First time I've seen them in the flesh (we keep in touch on Zoom once a week) for about 18 months! They arrrived about 4.30 pm and left about 11.00. Paying for it today though!

Hi Well my Christmas was not the best, Christmas Eve I had chippy after a few days of being ok and then Christmas even night I had the worst trapped wind and same Christmas morning which then ruined my day and the same today

So fed up of all this now 😞

Just as any other day dealing with the consequences / symptoms of having a dysfunctional bowel 💩 But since Boxing day I'm feeling a little bit better, less worse, after I halved the dosage of supplements I take, the antimicrobial ones. It felt like I was overdoing it.

Not too bad? I’m having more food than usual so my IBS-C has surfaced. To the point my hemmoroids are screaming bloody murder!! LOL! Hope you had a delightful X-más with your family.

Stopped at home alone because of covid in the family. Had lovely very large meals delivered by gdaughter. Ate things I shouldn't have and suffered from pain, wind etc etc but I'm going to be good from now on and stick to my boring diet. I think we all need to look forward to the New Year with optimism, try different things to help alleviate our debilitating IBS. After having suffered from IBS for about 25 years I have lost faith in doctors who fob us off with medications that don't work. I think we all need to do our own research and share our findings with other sufferers. I come on here every day and read through all the posts and one thing recommended by someone was to take magnesium citrate to help with constipation and it has definitely helped me. I wish everyone a much better New Year.xx

A bit naughty really, opened a bottle of ready made Bucks Fizz - ate smashed avocado and crispy bacon for brunch. Ate Turkey and some veg trimmings at 1730 (this came from Sainsburys ready prepped, so little stress). And we had a bottle of pink champagne with it. I did think I would pay for this on Boxing Day but remarkably, apart from a little wind and bloating, all was ok! Note that none of the above had any gluten in it at all, and with little stress I survived. I know my IBS really goes for it when I’m stressed out, so maybe I should adopt a more relaxed approach. Hope that other sufferers managed to get through the day.

Hello, it was worse decision to drink alcohol on Christmas Day and have late food. I had really good time for 6 weeks was 0 symptoms after having probiotics. But now on Boxing Day it was so so bad. My stomach had bad cramps and pain and I felt so sick in the evening that I throw up once. I regret what I did. I had couple glasses since Thursday and did start feeling a bit pain but didn’t thought anything of it. So now I know what makes me really bad it’s alcohol. Plus I have phobia to being sick. It was worse Boxing Day ever :(

I too had a couple glasses of wine and paid for it Christmas Eve night. Cramping, pain, wind, frequency. I had, had some prior without any problems before so I don’t know what made the difference this time around. I still feel a little off. I hope you get to feeling better.

Yes exactly the same no idea what but I have a feeling it was alcohol and food together especially Christmas is different from normal days. Felt good to eat but god it was mistake 😞I feel off too especially being sick but it could be more from that I was anxious I felt sick. I hope you will feel better soon and we can get over this. For second day I been eating so little

That’s me too. I didn’t even eat much for Christmas because I was still sore from the night before. Yesterday I thought things were on the up and up. Had some graham crackers, which I don’t normally have and have full on diarrhea today…which I don’t normally have. So that is great. I have been a little nerved up. But nothing too much. Nothing too out of the norm. Over it though. I can say that much. Tomorrow is our day hopefully
