Dizziness anyone?

LittleMissWorry1981 profile image

I've started getting it really bad lately, I feel like I'm spinning and going to fall over. It makes me so anxious which probably doesn't help.

I've noticed I'm extremely bloated most of the time it happens. I'm constantly bloated anyway but it seems much worse when I'm having the dizziness?

I'm so fed up 😔

Hi, I get dizzy from time to time. I used to find it happened if I hadn't eaten for a while and then had a large meal. As I'm getting older, I am feeling a bit dizzy a lot of the time and it's making me feel a bit unsteady on my feet.

Somebody asked a similar question a couple of days ago, link attached below, in case you haven't seen it.

Hi,

Sorry to hear that you're struggling with this. Have you ever had any issues with low iron/ferratin? Does the bloating and dizziness occur after eating? If so, maybe it could be a blood pressure thing???? Whenever my ferratin levels dip below a certain point within the normal range I would experience vertigo. During my worst stomach flare up, I wasnt able to eat as well and consequently I'd experience dizziness and overall weakness amongst other symptoms. Hope you feel better.

You may have an inner ear problem. You need to mention it to a doc at least to rule it out.

Thanks for the suggestion but it's not my ears. My doc has ruled it out and its more to do with my ferratin levels. It occurs like clockwork everytime my ferratin drops.

I had a bout of this July August this year. Spoke to GP and he said it was something called benign paroxysmal positional vertigo or BPPV for short. It's basically an ear issue and you can do exercises to help it out. For me it was like I was drunk, I couldn't walk straight, the room would be spinning and lost balance, also extremely nauseous. It's not nice but does pass, doing the exercises helps but speak to your GP first
