Blood in stool

A bit worried had bright red blood in my stool this morning and this evening I am constipated what could it be.

It could be piles if ur constapated but if ur worried get it checked out by ur GP

I've had piles afew times and always get abit of blood but pls get checked by ur GP if symptoms continue. I think it's the straining of been constapated that brings my piles when I get them

You will be worried seeing blood in ur poo is always a worrying time but if u see ur GP they may do a fit test I had 1 done and loads of blood test and other stool samples but all came back normal so try not to worry if they ask for a fit test as it's just routine and they do it just to rule everything out

I remember reading somewhere that bright red fresh blood in your stool means that the source is lower down and less of a worry. Its more likely to be piles or an anal fiscure that something more concerning but a chat with you gp might be a good idea at least to put your mind at rest.

Hi it's definitely piles like the others have already said. When your constipated you intend to push and with doing so you can actually do a small tear in the rectum which obviously causes the piles. If it gets worse than speak to your GP and ask for some cream. There's a few that can help but unfortunately I can't remember the names of them. But what I can say is that if it becomes itchy with the amount of pushing etc there is a numbing cream which helps also,But I hope it doesn't come to that but there is one that will help if you need it. Without being too graphic if after you've been to the toilet and the poo has a Streak going down it then at least you know its piles, Just be careful its not a lot. But speak to your GP if you are concerned.

Most likely internal haemorrhoids bleeding. Bright red blood not so concerning. Dark red black blood is much more serious and medical advice should be sought. Sometimes I can turn a toilet bright red from a bleed. I am used to it now so I don’t worry anymore. Good luck

Red is better than black. But any blood should be checked.

So everyone I went to the doctors this afternoon the doctor checked everything there he said looks all normal, have to do a blood test and a couple of stool tests. He made me feel old he said your at that age now in between where we have to keep eye on you I am 35 you get all these problems as you get older. Thank you for all your advice everyone. 🙂

Keep us posted... I am 35 as well heading for a colonoscopy for this excat reason but my stool test was positive ... doctors eh... don't you just love them lol hehheeh x

Bless you I have to ring my doctor back tomorrow to decide whether I have to have the camera test, but I am still waiting for the stool test results, I hope everything goes well for you. 🙂

Hi everyone I got my test results back today and they were negative which is good the doctor said it was most probably piles just waiting for my h pylori test results back wanted to see if the bacteria had cleared as sometimes I still get acid reflux, thank you all for your advice xx
