I had two calprotectin tests over 6 weeks, both came back high and still waiting to hear back from the gastroenterologist. I don’t think I have IBD, as I don’t often experience abdominal pain or blood in the stool, but I have had consistent nausea (sometimes severe) and daily diarrhoea for nearly a year now. I’m a little concerned as to what’s causing these symptoms - has anyone experienced similar?
* I’ve also had IBS for about 10 years, but have never experienced constant, daily nausea before, and was actually managing the IBS well for a couple of years before these new symptoms.
Any help appreciated!

Hello 🙋♀️You may have already heard back from your Dr by now, but I do know that taking NSAIDS can cause a high test result. Also there can be other issues besides IBD to cause a high test result as well. Now with all that said, nausea & diarrhea for an extended amount of time is NEVER good and certainly not for almost a YEAR, YIKES! You need to be better with yourself. Sending you positive, happy thoughts 🤩
* I've dealt with IBS since I was 16 years old & that was many moons ago!
