Lower Abdo Pain

I have IBS and Diverticyulitus mainly brought on by stress as I know my food no nos so avoid them

I am on a whole spectrum of drugs for various ailment so am trying to avoid over medicating....... I have to take Mebeverin when I have a flare up but as I take so many drugs already I don't really want to resort to Mebeverin every time my IBS flares

So has anyone found any others ways to stop the pain when it comes as its quite debilitating,I also get intermittent diareaha and constipation but I don't find that as awful as the pain

So if anyone has discovered a way to help with the pain I would be most grateful

I have similar symptoms of constant pain, but sometimes flares up on stress. Also I have slight pain in the anus region and feel like gas going out and my body smells bad (fecal odor). Do you have any of the latter symptoms. This has been there for last 10 years or so, no GI could find the real cause.
