You have come to the right sight for good advice does ur daughter suffer from IBS D or IBS C. I've suffered with IBS D for 28 years but over the last month having a mixture of both D and C just ask what u would like advice on and there is loads of people on here how will give u good advice and support
First of all how old is your daughter? Depending on her age IBS can be controlled at a young age. If she does have IBS then the thing to do is try to find out what irritates her stomach more in foods and fluids. It's advisable to drink water to help flush anything that is in the stomach area that can causes discomfort. If you haven't already speak to your GP and see what kind of medication they can give her like Buscapan, Mebervin. But you Will find hundreds of people with this condition so she's not alone. Some suffer more than others. Just ask.
Hi Mabeya, I've had IBS for almost 30 years. It began with a reaction to Weetabix which I ate daily for breakfast. I had diarrhea for almost a week and bad stomach pains. I've always drunk loads of water and eaten fruit and vegetables daily as it was the duet I had been bought up to eat.
My symptoms vary a lot and I cannot say what will happen in a daily basis or from morning until night. I have diarrhea and constipation, get cramps in my stomach,as well as stomach pains. I also get mucus after having a poo. The mucus changes in colour all the time and the colour has nothing to do with what I eat. After having this for so long I take a 20mg Omerprazole x1 plus 2 Macrogol laxatives and X3 peppermint oil capsules daily. I've never been given pain killers for the pain but wish I had some. IBS makes me tired, uncomfortable, I cannot plan things or have to say I cannot go at the last minute. Sometimes it makes me a little angry as I'm just more than fed up of having it. I hope this helps your daughter. Try keeping a diary before her next GP appointment 😍
