me again.. back with another question. 30 yo female. 9 months postpartum! Had a colonoscopy a few months ago and came back clear.
So the problem that developed during pregnancy and continued until 2 weeks ago was frequent bowel movements, especially in the morning! I had to the morning rush daily. However, 2 weeks ago it just seemed to stop. I still get cramps in the morning but my BMs are a mixture of type 1 and 2 on the stool chart but again, I go once every morning.
The only thing I changed in my diet has been cutting our coffee which I used to drink every other day.
Is this normal? Do I need further investigating? Like i said i already had a colonoscopy a couple months back. Could this be my body finally regulating after having a baby or a delayed effect from not drinking coffee? any insight is appreciated.

I always have a hot drink or two before going to the loo! Maybe you should go back to having coffee (decaf would be good) before going to the loo in the morning!
One of my adult brood was having issues with diarrhoea, which as a lorry driver was a bit of a problem. He then thought about his coffee consumption and there was a correlation. He is much improved having ditched the coffee...
Yes, there certainly is a link with going to the loo and coffee. Firstly, I think it's because it's hot, secondly because it's coffee. Does more than tea in my opinion! But I don't think the caffeine makes a lot of difference although people always blame that! During the day I only eat and drink cold stuff, I don't have hot stuff until the evening! If I am having a good day, which I don't get many of at present, I can get away with a cold coffee during the afternoon!
I may have misinterpreted your post, I thought you were worried about your stool being on the 1/2 stool type. But since reading it again, I think perhaps you were just wanting reassurance that was okay!? I have never experienced stool like that since I was a child so thought you were unhappy with it, but if that is what you was used to and you are happy with it, then that's fine.
