IBS and the COVID vaccine

Over the last few months. we have received a number of enquiries from members of The IBS Network asking if the COVID19 vaccination has any untoward effect on IBS.

We are not aware of any data to suggest that the vaccination against SARS-CoV-2 (the virus causing COVID-19, the disease) causes a relapse of known IBS.

All drugs or chemicals cause side effects. It would be most unwise to avoid the vaccine. We know IBS may be very distressing, but it is never fatal.

All our specialist clinicians advise people to get vaccinated, as the benefits, (preventing death from COVID), outweigh the risks of worsening of IBS symptoms.

If you are feeling anxiety or stress leading up to the vaccination and the thought of venturing out to the vaccination centre is causing a flare-up, try to practice some mindfulness and relaxation techniques to help mitigate some of your symptoms.

The medical profession ways say IBS isnot fatal but have they compared the suicide rate against the national average.? I would put .money on it being higher. Also you die of anorexia caused by a fear of food or just too ill to eat. Docs don't seem to believe you are too ill to eat so call it anorexia. How many heart attacks are caused by Ibs too. It does not even occur to them that ibs could cause anything else.

Can we be sure IBS doesn't cause other issues, The medical profession do not seem to have much of a grasp on it yet, even with lack of sleep from the pain ends up causing other problems.

Well the risks didn't outweigh the benefits for the hundreds of thousands of people suffering serious adverse reactions and thousands of people who have died since taking the experimental covid 'vaccine' that's just in the UK so I suggest the IBS Network does some research instead of promoting these jabs.

Without long-term studies and data how could anybody know what the jabs effect on IBS could possibly be!!

I did a little research on the Moderna vaccination, after having a devastating two-month flare after my first booster. Discovered that one of the ingredients is polypropylene glycol. This is used in LAXATIVES like ExLax! I have IBS-D and told my doctor, at the time, that I would rather die than go through that experience again! Needless to say, I am refusing to take the second booster!
