Hi, I have had IBS D for 19 years now and nausea and vomiting are a big part of it.I find this particularly difficult as I have a phobia of vomiting and this has also caused panic attacks.
Vomiting is one of my worst ibs symptoms! Until I was diagnosed I vomited daily for 11 months, I found relief following a strict diet and using antispasmodic medications as well as stomach protectants daily, which also helped my diarrhea and pain
Hi jack yes I used to when mine first started 31years ago when I was 28then on and off over the years until I stopped drinking tap water, one day I had a drink of water and my friend said have you noticed every time you drink water your being sick after. After trying different bottled water I found the cheap Sainsbury’s spring water suits me the best. Not all bottled water is spring water some is just bottled tap water, I have found this out the hard way. Tey experimenting with different spring waters as it depends what part of the country is it from and what it has filtered through wether it affects you or not, tap water has fluoride in it and some with IBS can’t tolerate it, where I am in Essex the fluoride in the water is rather high. Fluoride is put in the water to kill off the bugs in it. When I spoke to my diabetes dietitian I was told it’s very common that people can’t drink tap water, why people with IBS are not told this I don’t know. My sickness used to be worse at the end of the day, when is yours worst? I hope this is of some help
