I have been going round in circles for years! Recently I was getting headaches daily and was struggling to see what this was due to, I started yet another new diet a couple of weeks ago ....healthy eating, yogurt, eggs all my triggers and my headaches went away, I started losing weight BUT my IBS flared daily! The dilemma is as my daughter put it what is the easier to put up with a headache and being fat or IBS .... why do I have to make these choices ?

Fed up of IBS!

Hi huggit, my IBS used to be more runny than it is now. In fact now it looks like it should but I still feel like I just want to keep going, like I used to, but it doesn't work. I had to get everything out to feel okay but now I don't seem able to get everything out no matter what and I get really sore and burn inside. So I am trying to just go the once and hold the rest (not easy to do) but at least I don't feel my inside are on fire. BUT, the consequence of this is that I end up with a headache and often nausea as well. I just don't think you can win with IBS whatever you do.
I think you are right. Other people don’t realise how difficult it is! I try so hard to feel normal but something always upskittles me
Oh dear I know that feeling about "getting everything out"!
I have to make 3 or 4 attempts during the day with lots of straining. I just can't get out in the mornings! I ate 1 kiwi about 8 prunes and 1 apple yesterday (I don't like taking any medication) and then was doubled up with colic. This morning one fairly normal movement (incomplete) followed by very very loose movement. I can go from days of constipation to diarrhoea. Given up trying to figure it out! I know I'm lucky not to have a serious disease BUT IBS is such a bummer!😂
I think the probiotic yogurt, which I like, isn't doing very much for me. It's still got lactose which may be a trigger for constipation. Then again why would my body react in this way to something it enjoys?

you can get lactose free yogurt.
