Hi

Have had stool n blood tests taken, all ok. Scan showed little fatty deposit on liver but nothing else. Why do i still rush to the loo after some meals? Ibs?

It's the nature of IBS. It often makes people need the loo after eating. It may be what you are eating or how much or all sorts of things. Bascially, you have to work it out for yourself. The FODMAP diet is the one recommended for IBS but better done with a dietician. Some people have a problem with dairy or gluten. You just have work it out for yourself really. If you have a bad reaction to something then cut it out for a while. But if you are like me it's more just the process of eating than what I am eating.

The IBS Network have a lot of information on their site. You can become a member for £24 a year. Have a look at the site and then you can see what you think. As a member you have access to more information and they run a helpline some evenings and also have an ask the experts process where you can write your question and somebody will come back to you with an answer. It might be worth joining as you do not appear to have much information about IBS. Link attached below.
