Came across this today. Thought I would share it.

The original post I found was in the Independent but had an ad blocker attached which made it difficult to read. Also it was dumbed down a bit. But feel free to search for the Independent article for a simpler but not so accurate explanation.

This is great Maureen. I remember reading about the start of this research back in 2019:

I contacted Stuart Brierley the Programme Manager at Flinders University to ask whether they had a website so I could follow their work. They didn't at the time. Interestingly Stuart was involved in the development of Linaclotide which is for IBS-C with visceral pain, so they are very much specialists in that area.
