Ibs itchy anus

I was diagnosed with ibs some years ago, has anyone experienced alot of itching in the anus , a feeling like you have shards of glass in your anus.i have had these 2 x symptoms on and off for 4 years.

GP been treating me for piles but i am not convinced.

Any advice greatly received.

Are you sure it's not just fissures that are constantly healing and reopening and healing again?

I have had these in the past.Self diagnosis- treating the symptoms as this at present.

could be SIBO, in small intestine, candida problem

YES! I've had the problem for years (along with ibs), used creams etc. Didn't realise it could be related to ibs but looks like it might be.

That is one of my symptoms also. I use A & D ointment and it really helps. The other ointments burn too bad anymore.

I an in the US and buy in any pharmacy, wal mart, target, and anyplace baby diapers etc are sold.

My second reply but just to say i've noticed a massive difference in the itching (virtually gone) since I've been taking probiotics for my ibs.
