I’m on 25mg I take it at 6 o’clock every evening

I don’t think you would want to take it of a morning as it can make you feel groggy I take it at 6 so when I go to bed at about half 10 i usually go to sleep quite quickly

As it can be taken for sleep problems if you take it later you might feel groggy in the morning

But I’ve found taking it at 6 of an evening I sleep better and fine when you get up of a morning

I take a similar amount & although it made me tired at first it doesn’t anymore. I’m still in pain during the day (albeit not as much as I was )& wondered if by taking a small amount in the morning in addition would help. However I think the way it works (it takes months for it to work) it wouldn’t make any difference what time if day I take it as it just the total amount taken that is the key to how effective it is. If that makes sense ?

Thanks

I’ve found taking a pro biotic in the morning along with the amnatriptolin has Helped with the pain of the spasms and if I also take natural yoghurts with honey that helps even more

I take 10mg every Saturday night around 9pm, only once a week and for sleep. It certainly helps me sleep but I do feel very groggy in the morning til about midday and have a dry mouth. I just can not tolerate anymore than that. That small dose doesn't help my IBS but helps with sleep alot

I take 10 MG at night. I have not tried more in a long time but when I first did it made me tired into the next day.

I think 6 or 7 Pm is good because if you take it later once again you may be drowsy the next day

I take 20mg at night. Started taking 10mg 4 years ago but few months ago my anxiety /IBSflared up so Dr increased to 20mg. Sometimes I only take 10mg depends how I feel.

I am thinking of asking my GP for Amitriptyline to help with sleep and anxiety, it sounds like it has a good result..
