Sadly usually priced for what the market will bear. The flip side is how much is your health worth. Obviously there is a limit for everyone, so it is choice.

The age old question, to buy or not to buy?

I pay $26.00 for the prescription of 3 pills, plus a dispensing charge of $8.00. Do I need it or not, that's my choice. The pills are free on National health!

I have no alternative, but I still have a choice.

To be honest I'm to the point of saying no, but not quite, I still want some quality to my life.

It's a bitter pill to swallow but that is the way of the World.

Hi. I have ibs d and get spells of bad stomach cramps and pains. I tried a product called Bimuno a couple of years ago and it really worked. I stopped taking it eventually as the symptoms disappeared but recently the pains returned with a vengeance, also very bad wind and cramps.

I’ve been back on Bimuno for about 6 weeks now with great results. It certainly works for me. It is a prebiotic and costs about £8 for a months supply. You can get it in Boots, they often do buy 2 get one free so it works out at about £24 for 3 months, or online the monthly cost is around £8-9. Might be worth a try.

I have tried various probiotics and like u found them so expensive. I now take Kefir which is reckoned to be better and cheaper. I buy mine from either the Polish or International shop for about £1 per litre. This lasts me 4 days so if you have one of these shops nearby would be worth giving it a try. The Kefir in supermarkets is not as good and dearer.

If you are in the UK I have found Dolphin Fitness very good, the blue pack Optibac Everyday is listed as £31.35 for 90 days, other sizes and formulae are available.

Welcome to supplements. Where it's all about market value and what people are willing to spend. While I believe that probiitics have some value for some people they have not personally worked well for me other than to drain my bank account. Supplements in general is a mixed world of some truth, great marketing, fear, market values, placebo effect and sometimes things actually helping but also the plate tial of self medicating into a world of other issues when mixing supplements.

I have always found trying something for 3 to 4 weeks tells the tale as to if it really works then I make a decision on continuing.
