Hi all does anyone have type 2 diabetes and ibs. If so what foods do you eat to keep both in control.

Its more about what I don't eat than what I do eat. I also have CKD which complicates the diet much. My go to food for energy is marmite/ vegimite or sardines. Both slow release high energy foods, although the salt content is not good for CKD. So there is no sugar hit with these foods.

No sugar, no salt, no herbs or spices, no red meat (CKD) and only water to drink. Don't touch manufactured foods or pre-cooked foods as they are generally full of either sugar or salt. I also can't touch sugar substitutes for the CKD. I do use small amounts of Stavia and stick with fresh foods and home cooking.

So far I'm holding everything at the current levels.

Downside is not a lot of fun with food, upside I get the real taste of foods and feel better in general myself.
