Does anyone notice that when they get a flare up of IBS they also get lots of catarrh and runny nose

Yes, runny nose , runny bum. Dried up nose, constipation!

Yes I do get a runny nose on a flare up can’t think why really ... need yo get better sick of this disease ... had terrible flare fri sat felt very weak and wobbly Sunday pooing all the time until I took immodium , so today washed out and legs ache really badly .. just want to be able to eat and not pooh , how lovely would that be !!!!

Have you eaten or drank dairy, like chocolate, or cheese, as that makes you mucus increase, since coming of dairy, I have not had any colds or chest infections, but my sister has them all the time, I told her, she might be alergic to cows milk,,, just test yourself.
