Rectogesic Ointment - how to

Online Doc perscribed me Rectogesic Ointment which I will receive tomorrow. As mentioned to them any 'fissure' i can see isnt directly on the anus but a few cm above it. should i apply the cream to the anus or on the actual cuts themselves?

I suggest that as your GP placed on your notes that your problem was a potential issue 5 months ago you should go back and see him rather than try and treat yourself as your issue is still with you and should not be but hey ho, it's up to you😉

I have used rectogesic it needs to be applied to the fissure directly, its common side effect is that you can get quite nasty headaches immediately after use so my advice is use before bed, And only as much as prescribed, do not over use! Using before you go to sleep means if you do have the headache you can go straight to sleep. Good luck, they can take a while to heal
