Hi everyone! How is everyone doing?

I recently gave up red meat and only having chicken/ fish as my protien source.

I don't have IBS, but I do feel that my digestion has improved without red meat, and for my lunch today i found that wholemeal bread rolls seem to go right through me/ and i poop it out as quite watery stool. I'm not in pain, but just wondering if anyone else has the same effect with wholemeal rolls? :D

Love to all x

Hi

I have confirmed IBS d and cannot take too much fibre and less fruit as it goes straight through me (sorry tmi)

Maybe wholemeal is too much for you, suggest you try cutting it out and then reintroduce it slowly see how you go.

Hi there,

I recently gave up all meat products, already eat dairy free and no eggs and I found my digestive system stopped producing the runs. I’m still going to the bathroom a few times a day but everything is more solid. I did that for about 6 weeks and have since had some meat - pork and lamb went through me - today I ate beef and yet to see what happens. I am not eating fish either as cod and tuna used to affect me badly too.

The surprise for me was I’d expected the increase and addition of more veg and therefore more fibre to upset me - but it didn’t! for years and years I avoided a lot of veg - I’d only eat a banana once in a while and I’ve even eaten a few satsumas with no ill effects.

It’s maybe not for everyone but it’s worked for me.
